When I added the prime cables server cabinet to cart, prior to checkout this 2U server shelf was recommended as a frequently bought together option. Since it was briefly on sale I decided to buy two, I was not sure if the floor of the server cabinets is intended to hold any weight and this shelf will slightly elevate it from the dust that will accumulate at the bottom. My expectations were not all that high purchasing these shelves because it is one of the few they offer and I wanted to receive everything from the same manufacture for guaranteed compatibility. Once I pulled it out of the box, I could appreciate the quality of the materials and manufacturing of the product. Was fairly easy to mount, used a flat head screwdriver to push the hanging screw nuts through the back of the rail mount and the Allen key that came with the cabinet to fasten the screws.

Assembly troubleshooting, my best guess is consumer difficulty derives from screw packages being unlabeled and this leads to a lack of confidence in what they are doing. The expectation that the average consumer knows how to identify by eye thread spacing and screw length is laughable. If you are considering purchasing, please remember to do the following with the four packages of screws. Set aside the package with both screws and square nuts, those are to mount racks to the rail which comes after assembly. Set the long thin pointy silver screws aside with the fans, they are installed last (consider putting the door back on after this step and watch for cable pinching when installing the final screw for each fan). What you are left with are thinner black screws and thick silver screws. The black screws are self tapping, which means you may prefer using a power drill to install the mounting rails to the frame (screw straight inline with hole avoid going on an angle). With the last remaining package assemble the walls etc. It is impossible to fasten the walls with the wrong screws because the smaller ones fall through and do not tighten. Also note there is a surplus of screws in each package. Roll up your sleeves and believe in yourself, this product is incredible value for the money.
