The design is great - really intricate, almost steampunk. It's pretty cheaply made, though. The finish is quite rough with some slightly bent areas. Nevertheless, the flaws shouldn't be too visible in most lighting, so I'm pretty satisfied with it overall.

It felt like a great excess to buy what's essentially a luxury pie server, but it is indeed a very nice pie server. It's one piece of smooth, solid metal all around with no seams, and it feels heavy and premium.

It's a disservice for this style of spatula/turner to be advertised as being just for fish - it's great as a general-purpose spatula. The bend makes it easier to manoeuvre around other objects in a pan. My one complaint is in how the handle spokes are welded to the spatula, which creates some tiny crevices that will probably get dirty and difficult to clean over time.

I previously had the standard OXO balloon whisk, which appears to be almost identical except with the handle made of rubber instead of metal. While I haven't used this new one yet, I think prefer the metal version, as the rubber can get scuffed and cut over time, and the metal looks sleeker. The shape makes it still comfortable to hold.

I love that it's solid smooth metal all around without seams - which makes cleaning easy, means there are no soft parts to degrade over time. and it just feels premium.
