    This works perfectly with the new Comcast/Xfinity X1 DVR box. I have an older JVC TV that has no HDMI inputs. The TV works great and has a super clear picture so I didn't want to be forced to get a new TV (I could have stayed with Direct TV, but the deal Comcast offered was too good to pass up!). Also of note, my TV is 1080i. When looking for a converter box I noticed some only work with 1080p. THIS WILL WORK WITH 1080i so no worries there.

      does exactly want I wanted it to do... I have a projector, and needed a HDMI to YPbPr to enable my laptop to be connected to the projector and still have the sound available for my sound system. will it last long? dont know!... It has been on since a got it 1 month ago! the future will tell..

        Doesn't work with a Chromecast and that's disappointing. No options to downconvert from 1080 to 720p. Need to be done at source. (Lot of VGA/YPbPr monitor don't accept 1080)

            mixed up composite with component, so it didn't work

              Unit wouldn't work using component cables with switch to YPbPr but did work with VGA cable when switched to VGA setting. Luckily, I had a VGA Cable on hand!
