I am quite happy with my subwoofer. My living room is that long, but it is wide. I needed some oomph to fill out the sound. My stereo only has an output 60 watts. So the subwoofer is powerful enough to fill out the room with rich sound. I do find I have to adjust the volume from song to song. It really works with jazz, with a stand up bass.

Well my unit had a problem (humming when power on) rca cables in or not monoprice tech said it was a defect thanks to shopper it was taken back for refund good seller

It is good for this price. Works OK with my YAMAHA receiver.
