Overall, it's a very sturdy arm. I got it to mount my laptop on it using the laptop tray mount (the Primecables one). I had to reduce the tension to the absolute minimum in order for the height to stay, but only if my laptop was on the tray. It's my fault for not checking the minimum weight of the arm before buying (it is spec'd at 4.4lbs minimum). My only major dislike is that I can't adjust the tension for turning the monitor side to side (same with rotate) The monitor mounting plate is not detachable, so you need to put the two top screws in your monitor, then hook it on the arm, then screw in the bottom two screws for your monitor.

LONNNG overdue setup for an Asus VE247. Been planning one of these for my mother's home-office which doubles as her private entertainment center. For years it has been on its own tilting stand seated atop a monitor riser, and of course remains static. Now it frees up some space and has the option of moving the monitor freely all around the desk. Riser now props up her old air-gapped lapbook with her micro-PC hidden underneath. Lately she had been wanting a standing desk, and to a degree the monitor can be raised and tilted up to perform as such, when the k/b and mouse isn't needed, such as when she's just watching videos and/or performing basic upright exercises. If only the main post was taller, then the display could be raised all the way. Installation wasn't too difficult, but it took me a really long time just because I wanted to ensure everything was correct and not have to redo everything. Still I had to mount and re-mount the monitor a couple times. The cable routing channels are definitely not too friendly, especially for thicker cables such as the sheathed HDMI→DVI one in use. Part of the cable is exposed because of it. Making adjustments is a good balance of being just easy enough that even a senior can manipulate a 24" monitor with ease, while not too easy to nudge it out of position...aside from swiveling around the post. Due to limitations of design, it forces the monitor forward and closer to user, compared to its original stand. There are quirks that tempt me to dock half a star off from 5--which of course isn't possible--or even knock off 1 altogether since it's not perfect, the product is good enough to not warrant that. While I could have gotten it for half price many years ago, the price I did get it at is still complimentary of a decent product. Should I ever need one for myself, or ever have the money for a multi-display configuration, I will definitely consider ordering again.

Works very well, and does get higher than the regular mounts.

Easy to install on any desk !

Both arms work way better than I expected, and I was expecting good results. Main posts mounted upside down from shelves and work great. The price was so good that waiting over a week for delivery was worth it! Memory Express in south Calgary uses the H80 version at all of their order desks, which is what helped me make the decision to order the H100 versions. I'll be back!
