Gimmicky, but one HUGE positive factor about this is that it flashes NON-STOP after the phone is done charging. Not sure if it's just my phone/brick combo, or an actual feature of this cable Good for those of us who don't charge overnight, but could be terrible for those that do while trying to sleep! Cable is just as flexible as a non-braided, which is also very impressive. Aluminum ends, too! Can't go wrong for this price!

The cable works perfectly for charging and data transfer, but it is a gimmick product, the cable will light up when there is sound, so it's pretty cool in party for eye catching or if you just like fun light show while charging and listen to music at the same time, otherwise the lights isn't necessary and you can't turn the lights off unless the environment is quiet.

The lights are really....noticeable. Luckily my daughter thinks they're amusing so these cables are now for charging her devices

The wire is great quality and the leds light up from sound. There actually is a small mic in the wire and the leds light up as shown in the pictures. It doesn’t have features that make it "BETTER" but it still is a very good quality product for cheap.

Thought this would be nice but the flashing is very obnoxious

I didn't realize this was a flashing light when I bought it - I gifted it to my teen nephew and he loved it. He says it works fine.
