This thing literally SAVED MY HOME. My car's block heater caught fire : the entire front of my car was ablaze. When I noticed, the flames were over a meter high. Even though this can only contains about 10 seconds' worth of fire extinguisher product, it did its job perfectly: it put out at least 90% of the fire, giving me time to do what was needed to extinguish the remaining flames. Yes, my car burned, but without this product, the fire would have spread to a wood deck and to my house. The damage would have been massive! So I bought several more cans and gave them as Christmas gifts to all my family members…

First off I have to say I have never used the units I bought, but did watch and read up on reports prior to buying. These have a 10 year life dated on the can, this is small and easy to keep in some strategic places. After having a back yard electrical fire the end of last summer in our back yard I purchased a replacement 10 pound extinguisher for the 5 pound I depleted and 2 of these - 1 kept in the top floor bathroom and 1 for the basement (something on each floor). HOPE we never need it but some piece of mind to have something so effective on all levels of the house and this takes up as much room as a can of Lysol. (We also keep a fire blanket in the Kitchen)

It's a decent price. I will do some testing for effectiveness and to see how long the extinguisher can maintain its effectiveness.
