Thanks for sharing your experience! The design is intentional: as you write, the metal alloy nib gradually wears down and extends, so each of the 6 replacement nibs lasts a long time before swapping—no sharpening or ink refills needed. The slim eraser stores safely inside the barrel and tips out only as much as you need, reducing waste versus a fully exposed eraser. Since there's no wood, lead, or ink cartridge involved, it actually produces less waste over its lifespan than traditional pencils. We appreciate your feedback and will share it with our product team for future improvements!
