What can I say, it's a cup holder and it's good for holding her drink while she does her reading and her homework. Good to have especially when the tiltable desktop is at an angle. Also, the cup comes with another metal hook so you can install it on either side of your desk. Glad that I included it with my order.

Wish it had other ways to attach to desks, it doesn't work on the compact ergonomic height-adjustable desk

for the table it was designed for, it's a bit hard to use with taller cups as it's slightly underneathe the table top
