The twisting posts or caps (I'm not sure what to call them) are great. Not only do I not have to keep track of a tool whenever I want to adjust the widths, but it creates another space to keep smaller and lighter items, like a notebook or pens. Great design.

This is actually a pretty cool item. I picked it up because it was on sale and it would give be free shipping. But I have been using it all the time. It is strong enough to hold an ipad, macbook / phone - no issues at all.

Very solid, works great to hold a laptop and a dock
