The bracket comes with only one metal ring to attach to a phone. I tried my with a metal plate that was already on my phone case and because of the specific design of the bracket it wouldn't stick to the magnet. In other words it likely will only work with the included metal ring. That"s fine, if you are the only person using the phone bracket. In my case, we are two people who use the car and would require 2 metal rings for both of us to use the product. If I could purchase or obtain an additional ring that would be a plus and wouls have resulted in a higher review.

Well built and came with a magnetic ring you can attache to your phone. Didn't expect that, a nice addition.

Solid quality

My phone case has a metal square on the back that I expected would work with this holder... WRONG. The magnet is only the outer ring of the holder, which is exactly sized with the included metal ring in the box. The problem is that my case isn't plain flat, so there is no way I can stick the ring on the back of my case. And if I put the ring inside my case, it isn't strong enough to hold at all. Long story short, if you don't use a phone case (which with the price of phones is insane) or if you use a plain flat one, you can probably stick the metal ring directly on the case/phone and have this work. But if you are trying to make it work with an existing phone case you like that isn't the plainest out there, then you're out of luck. If the middle of the holder had at least been magnetic too, I believe it would have been usable by many other people including myself. As it is, this was just a waste of money.

The phone holder and adhesive pad are not strong enough to support my iphone. The phone holder felt off together with my iphone and pulled the leather out from my dashboard.
