It is a great cable that effectively works over long distances. A lot longer than USB cables are supposed to work. I have two of these cables. The first cable I purchased several years ago as part of the automation of my telescope setup. It has worked flawlessly for years. I purchased this second cable to connect other equipment that I now have and it works with similar results with one exception. For some reason, one USB port on my laptop doesn't like the cable. The original cable works fine in this port so it is just an easy matter of swapping ports for the cables and all is good. One of life's mysteries.

These cables are a little more expensive than normal USB extension cables without the active power booster but for long length over 10 meter, I've tested many types of long cables available on the market but found only these kinds work perfectly in most of our applications. I was using these USB Active Extension cables for our webcams in varies locations, some are almost 20 meter away from our main and backup computers, not easy to make good connection considering the length and signal lost problem, however it works without any issue.
