It works. Staedtler remains a trusted brand and I am not disappointed with the quality of this highlighter pen despite being a little bit smaller than expected. This uses a water-based ink but is inkjet safe (so it will not smudge printouts and handwritten text. They are copy proof. Violet and turquoise are intended for documents that are to be copied. I purchased both of these colours and can confirm that when a portion of the text is highlighted, they won't show up on photocopier or scanned copies.
