Have not tried this with paper but works great on metal tubes to get out that last bit of paint or product. It is plastic so not for heavyweight use but fine for paint tubes as well as glues or folds like mustard or tomato paste tubes. Works well to keep the cap on the metal tubes and carefully move the roller to push the food up to the nozzle. If you want to get last of your paint out of the tube you can leave the cap off and dispense it out onto another container plastic lid use immediately.

Works well, a must have for tiny paint tubes.
