I have a few of these HDMI Bi-directional Switch Splitters and they all work well for me operating in either of the two bi-directional configurations. 1) I use one of the Bi-directional Switch Splitters to direct the HDMI output video from one computer to either a desktop monitor or a large screen TV. 2) I also use another Bi-directional Switch Splitter to share one HDMI monitor with two computers

Works perfectly, low cost solution allows me to share one receiver output between a TV and projector.
