When it said "thick" in the description I was expecting it to be thicker like some of the more industrial ones. It is thick enough to stay stable and not move around on the back deck. The pile is deep and firm enough to work well to clean the bottoms of ones shoes from light debris and it is heavy enough to not slide around while rubbing shoes on it. I expect it to be a good outdoor amt for me.

Good quality and fair price. Just haven't been able to find a perfect spot to use it yet.

I am quite pleased with this mat. It has been effective in trapping all the dirt and snow, especially this winter! So happy I got this in time.
