It is as described. I bought this one on sale. Good value. I had another of different brand before. This shredder shred papers faster than my previous one, so much better. It is of good quality materials and looks and feels very sturdy. The motor' does seems runs loudly, but what do you expect from a small portable shredder. It only good for home use and not for large quantities of shredding. I would not put more than 2 sheets at a time because it would slow down the speed of the shredding. For a low cost shredding and for the occasional shredding at home, I do recommend thiis shredder.

nice little machine, loud but fast. Cuts straight strips, don’t use it for anything mega confidential. Fits a few sheets at a time and since it goes fast it isn’t too time consuming for the average person to shred sensitive docs. Fits on a medium sized garbage pail, mine has a lid on it so it tucks away nicely

It does what it is supposed to for a cheap shredder. Wish it did crosscut, but, it doesn't and that's why it is cheaper. Delivery was good.

This model includes auto thermal/overheat protection, which can temporarily shut the motor off if used continuously or overloaded beyond its 5-sheet capacity; letting it cool for 15-20 minutes usually resets it.
