    This is a good light duty mic stand. The base doesn't have a lot of weight so I would only use this for a Shure SM57 or SM58 to mic a guitar cab for example. My bass drum mic, a Shure Beta 52 A is a little heavy for the stand. If you don't over tighten the knobs this should last you a long time.
