This is a good light duty mic stand. The base doesn't have a lot of weight so I would only use this for a Shure SM57 or SM58 to mic a guitar cab for example. My bass drum mic, a Shure Beta 52 A is a little heavy for the stand. If you don't over tighten the knobs this should last you a long time.

I was surprised at the quality. It was better than expected.

A little on the light/flimsy side so probably won't use for mobile gigs. However, for a home studio or jam room they work great. Good deal when on sale.

love these little stands. i use mine for mic'ing amps and bass drum. they are a little light but not abnormally so. i have 4 now.
